I have been the superintendent here since 2022. My family and I have lived in central MN since 2003, with all 3 of my children graduating from New York Mills.

I grew up in Bethel, Alaska, where I learned the ropes of growing up off the land. Hunting, fishing, and relying upon your friends as family were the center of my world. 

I met my wife Shana while going to Bemidji State University, where I earned my teaching licensure in secondary English. Since then I have  attained an MS in Technology for Teaching in Education, my K-12 Principal's license, my Community Ed Director license, and my Superintendent's license.
