A little about us:
Swanville School District #486 is located in Morrison County, with part of the district in Todd County, 15 miles west of Little Falls, 12 miles east of Long Prairie, and 10 miles north of Upsala, Minnesota. Districts adjacent to the Swanville District are Little Falls Community Schools to the east, Browerville Public Schools to the north, Long Prairie/Grey Eagle Public Schools to the west, and Upsala Area Schools to the south.
The original high school was built in 1905, and that portion was replaced by a 1980 addition, which included the gymnasium, administrative offices, media center, and high school classrooms. The other additions to the school include the 1938 section, which houses the auditorium, a 1959 elementary addition, a 1966 Home Ec and Industrial Tech addition, and most recently, a 2006 addition which includes a new commons area, and new high school and elementary classrooms. The other sections were all remodeled during the 2007 addition project, and the entire building is handicapped accessible.
Swanville School District #486 operates a single PK-12 School in Swanville, Minnesota, with a full range of services from pre-school to 12th grade, including many extra-curricular activities. High School students are also able to take classes from colleges through interactive television or online.
The Swanville School District is proud of its commitment to provide an outstanding educational program for all of our students. We are constantly trying to improve our school in an effort to make it the best that it can be.
We are proud of our students and their accomplishments, both while they are at Swanville, and after they graduate.
The Swanville School Board, staff, and support personnel would like to invite you to visit our school at anytime to look over our facility and to show you why we will make your child's education more enjoyable for both your student and you.
